Paul Staib

Paul “Sonny” Staib, 76, passed away at 10:20 a.m., on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at his residence in Tiffin.

Paul was born August 5, 1942 in Tiffin, to Paul and Ruth (Malone) Staib. He married his wife, Beverly (Werling) on October 19, 1968 in Tiffin, and she survives.

Paul is survived by sister-in-laws, Ruthann (Bob) Varvel of Kingston, Pam (Dale) Frazier of Stoutsville, Rose Werling of Findlay, brother-in-laws, Jerry Borer of Fremont, Bob Collins of Bloomdale and also many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Andy and Ruth Werling, brother, Willis Staib, twin sister, Helen Collins, sister-in-law, Barbara Borer, brother-in-law, Jim Werling, nieces, Terry Roberts and April Platt and a nephew, Jim Borer.

Paul attended Columbian High School and worked for Air-Foil Textron in Fostoria, and was a lifetime member of the Tiffin Eagles. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and his ham radio. He also greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., on Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Chaplin Kathy Fenimore officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at Fairmont cemetery.
