Phyllis A. Reis

Phyllis A. Reis, 93, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2023 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

Phyllis was born in Tiffin on November 3, 1929, to the late Carl and Emma (Bretzloff) Ballreich. She married Robert W. Reis in Tiffin on September 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2014.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie (Jerry) Steinmetz of Tiffin, a son, Brian Reis of Port Clinton, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Martha Ballreich of Tiffin.

Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of the Tiffin Antique Club and Mohawk Country Club. She graduated from Tiffin City Schools and also attended Tiffin University. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, spending time at the lake and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant sons, two brothers, Donald and Owen Ballreich and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Ballreich.

There will be private family funeral services held for Phyllis at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin.
