Rahat Andaleeb “Farhana” Ahmed, 61, of Tiffin, passed away Friday July 18, 2025 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.
Rahat was born February 8, 1964, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to the late Mansur Ul Karim and Habiba Begum. She married Dr. Haseeb Jamee Ahmed in Dhaka, Bangladesh on April 14, 1984 and he survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include her children Samara Andaleeb Ahmed of Ohio and Esham Aubin Ahmed of Ohio; brother, Estemdad “Shams” Haider of Bangladesh; and sister, Shaheen “Sylvana” Ishrat of Bangladesh.
Rahat worked in Advancement at Tiffin University and Professional Banking with Fifth Third and BB&T. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Alabama and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville State University. Rahat was a dedicated member of Seneca County and spent her time as the Board Chair and Campaign Chair of Tiffin Seneca United Way, Board Chair of the Tiffin Rotary Club, and President of Hickory Sunrise Rotary Club. She was also an active member with the Chamber Ambassadors, Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce, SIDEC, Leadership Seneca County, Management Development Program, and Seneca County Executive. Her most cherished time was spent with her loving family and friends.
Graveside services for Rahat will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Greenlawn cemetery in Tiffin. There will be a Celebration of Rahat’s Life held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 2-5 p.m., at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin.
