Raymond D. Stine

Raymond Dewitt Stine, 89, formerly of Burgoon, passed away peacefully at 4:20 a.m., June 10 2021 at Randall Residence (Seneca House) in Tiffin where he was a resident for over 5 years.

Raymond was born to the late Edna (Ridley) Stine and Pearl D. Stine on December 28, 1931 in Burgoon, Ohio.  He married Doris (Wurzel) at the Burgoon United Methodist Church in 1993.

Raymond retired from Whirlpool after working there for more than 35 years. In his spare time he was a part time farmer on the family farm. He kept active in playing various types of cards and card clubs. He enjoyed riding different types of recreational vehicles and attending fairs and auctions. Raymond and wife Doris wintered in Deland, FL for many years. He graduated in 1952 from Jackson Burgoon School and was a member of the Fremont Moose and the Burgoon United Methodist Church.

His sisters, Luella King and Leota Dewald of Tiffin and brother-in-law Bill Heilman of Old Fort survive. He has many nieces and nephews.

Raymond is preceded in death by his wife of 10 years Doris, parents and sister Evelyn Heilman of Old Fort.

A grave side memorial service will be held for Raymond at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 14, 2021 at Smith Cemetery. Pastor Michael Holcomb will officiate the service. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Burgoon United Methodist Church.
