Richard Allen (Anthony) Terry, 77, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2023, at his residence.
Richard was born July 8, 1946, in Tiffin, to the late James and Camilla (DeSantos) Terry. He married Marcia (Feasel) in Monroe, MI in 1972 and she preceded him in death. He then married Melanie Stall and they later divorced.
Richard is survived by his son, Dustin (Amy) Terry of Tiffin, a daughter, Briana (Adam) DeLancy of Bloomdale, six grandchildren, Grant and Austin Terry, Alivia, Layla, Ava and Grady DeLancy, two sisters, Mary Hill of Tiffin and Bernice Ferguson of Fremont.
Richard was a retired accountant. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green University and was a United States Army veteran serving during Vietnam. Richard was an avid golfer and bowler in previous years. He enjoyed going to the gym and taking walks. Richard was a New York Yankees and The Ohio State Football fan. He enjoyed watching his grandkids in their activities and was always up for a drink and laughs with family and close friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, James Terry Jr.
There will be a memorial service held for Richard at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s and the United Veterans Council.
