Richard A. Sharpe

Richard A. Sharpe, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

Richard was born November 2, 1936, in Tiffin, to the late Donald and Doris (Gerstenberger) Sharpe. He married Carolyn J. (Valentine) in Tiffin, on September 24, 1954 and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2016.

Survivors include his son, Steven (Debbie) Sharpe of Bellevue, a daughter, LouAnn (Larry) Reinhart of Fostoria, a son-in-law, Gene Kuhn of Tiffin, a sister, Sandra (Ray) Nutter of Tiffin seven grandchildren, Randy, Nicki, Aaron, Shilee, Cyleen, Steve and Tyler, seven great-grandchildren.

Richard worked at Seneca Auto Parts, was owner/operator of Dick’s SOHIO, and co-owner of Napa Auto Parts. After retiring he also worked for ICP delivering meds. He was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a Volunteer Fireman for Clinton Township Fire Department where he was Assistant Chief. Richard enjoyed collecting 1/64 scale John Deere Tractors and Case knifes. He also enjoyed going to his camp in PA called Turnup Run to hunt, fish and enjoyed playing cards.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carolyn, a daughter, Barbara Kuhn, a grandson, Matthew Kuhn, and a brother, James Sharpe.

Funeral services for Richard will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2025 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at Farewell Retreat cemetery in Republic.
