Rita A. Willman

Rita A. Willman, 86, of Attica, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Rita was born August 14, 1938 in Fremont, to the late Clemens and Geneva (Nieset) Foos. She married Eugene R. Willman at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Millersville on July 3, 1965 and he survives in Attica.

Other survivors include her children, Patricia (David) Newcomer of Powell, Connie Willman of Columbus, Gerald (Jill) Willman of Circleville, Karen Willman of Columbus, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five brothers, Rich (Janice) Foos of Millersville, Mark (Ann) Foos of Millersville, Cyril (Marilyn) Foos of Bascom, Harold (Eileen) Foos of Millersville and Dan Foos of Millersville.

Upon graduation from high school Rita started her working life at Clauss Cutlery in Fremont. After she married Gene she enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her five children. Then in 1988 she started at Sutton Bank in Attica until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica where she was also involved with the Rosary Alter Society. She also taught PRE class at the church. Rita was a 4-H advisor for Needles & Spoons along with her good friend Bev Martin. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Elementary in Millersville and 1956 graduate of Jackson-Burgoon High School.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jennifer (Willman) Siesel.

The family would to like thank the staff of Willard Mercy Hospital and Toledo St. Vincent Hospital for their excellent care of Rita.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica with Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, from 2-5:00 p.m., at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at St. Peter & Paul cemetery in Attica.
