Robert E. West

Robert E. West, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2025 at his residence.

Bob was born June 22, 1931, in Bloom Township, to the late Donald and Bernetta (Kieffer) West. He married Colleen (Stover) in Sandusky, on September 20, 1952 and she survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include his children, Deborah (Randy) Trumbo of Burton, MI, Terrie (Robert) Johnston of Tiffin, a daughter-in-law, Linda West Pittsburg, PA, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Bob worked in construction and also Atlas Crankshaft. He was a well known pitcher in fast pitch softball leagues. He enjoyed his family, bowling, camping and woodworking.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeffrey West, four brothers, Donald Jr., Paul, George and Howard West and a sister, Vivian Frey.

Bob’s family would like to thank Dr. Agarwal, Stein Hospice and the caring staff at DaVita for the wonderful care given to Bob.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be a private family service held at Pleasant Union cemetery.
