Roger Dariano Obituary

Roger Anthony Dariano, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Tiffin Rehab.

Roger was born April 11, 1948 in Tiffin to Anthony Joseph Dariano and Rosemary (Seifert) Dariano. He married Patricia (Kirian) Dariano on July 3, 1969 in Tiffin at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of 54 years and son, Tony of Tiffin, two sisters, Susan Malone of Maumee and Kathy (Garry) Peiffer of Findlay and a brother, Greg Dariano of Toledo.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Teresa Dariano and a brother-in-law, Tim Malone.

Roger was a 1966 graduate of Calvert High School. After his graduation from Heidelberg College in 1970, he enjoyed teaching and coaching in both Tiffin and Fremont Schools.

Being the son of a master craftsman and learning from the best, Roger followed in his father’s footsteps and constructed quality homes throughout Tiffin and surrounding areas. After 32 years he retired from National Machinery as district sales manager.

Through the years on sunny summer days you’d find Roger and Pat cruising on the river in one of the several old boats he refurbished and brought back to life. He loved playing school sports and football season would never come soon enough every fall for Roger.

Roger proudly served in the Ohio National Guard, Engineering Division, Fremont, OH. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus.

Roger, may you rest in peace now. You’ve just scored your ultimate touchdown!

Honoring Roger’s wishes, there will be no visitation and services will remain private. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

The family would like to thank Tiffin Rehabilitation Center and Southern Care Hospice Services for the excellent care they gave Roger. We couldn’t have asked for more dedicated nurses, aides, social service workers and therapists.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Athletic Fund.
