Ronald Kies Obituary

Ronald N. Kies, 82, of Tiffin, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at the St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Ron was born on July 30, 1938 in Fort Wayne, Ind., to the late Vernon and Gertrude (Strong) Kies.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Ron Ranker) Herman of Tiffin, two grandchildren, Alexandria (Zeile) Klaiss of Powell, Madison Herman of Houston, TX, two great-grandchildren, Brynn and Riley Klaiss both of Powell, two sisters, Diana Magers of Colorado and Carol Ogilvie of Calif.

Ron was the owner/operator of the Pit-Stop and a member of St. Jacob's United Church of Christ in Republic. Ron was a 1957 graduate of Republic High School.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Ronda Kies and Brad Kies and a brother, Jack Kies.

Graveside services for Ron will be held at 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the St. Jacob's cemetery in Republic. There will be a private family visitation held at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T.
