Ronald L. Potteiger, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at The Willows at Tiffin.
Ron was born November 12, 1934, in Fostoria, to the late Theodore and Marcella (Rumschlag) Potteiger. He married Margaret Ann (McMillen) Potteiger on May 14, 1973 in Monroe, MI and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include his children, Mark (Linda) Potteiger of Marion, Jayne (Kurt) Ragon of Arlington, TX, Jeffrey (Linda) Potteiger of Tiffin, Richard (Jenna) Potteiger of Findlay, two step-children, Scott (Angela) Colbert of St. Louis, MO, Debbie Edwards Meissner of Mt. Gilead, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, Theodore (Jane) Potteiger of Findlay, John (Sue) Potteiger of Fostoria, Floyd (Pat) Potteiger of Van Buren and two sisters, Deborah (Joe) Kroeschel of Vanderbilt, PA and Francis Kay (Ron) Dallen of Pahrump, NV.
Ron worked at Atlas Crankshaft as a Machinist. He enjoyed bowling, golfing in the Bump’s travel league, Ohio State Football, Cleveland Guardians and was a member of Knights of Columbus, Amvets and the New Riegel Moose Lodge. Ron was a 1952 graduate of St. Wendlin High School.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gary Potteiger, a granddaughter, Megan Potteiger, three brothers, Charles, Terry and Robert Potteiger, and two sisters, Carol Correll and Darlene Best.
There will be no funeral services for Ron held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
