Ronald Yentzer

Ronald G. “Yentz” Yentzer, 82, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.

Ron was born December 31, 1943, in Toledo, to the late Thelma (McHaffie) Little. He married the love of his life, Barbara (Richey) Yentzer, on March 19, 1966 at St. Paul Methodist Church in Tiffin. She survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include his children; Rhonda (Dean) Rose of Tiffin, Jennifer (Robert) Rosenbalm of Tiffin, Stephanie (John) Kirian of Republic, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister, Trina Strickdorn of Mt. Gilead, a step-sister, Mickey Sexton of Cincinnati, and a step-brother, Dana (Lorraine) Yentzer of Arizona.

Ron was a 1961 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and earned his B.A. in Engineering from The Ohio State University. He worked for American Standard for 18 years and later started his own business, Ron’s Electric. Ron was also a member of St. Paul Methodist Church.

Ron was a great man to be around. He enjoyed having conversations around a campfire with his friends and family, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and NASCAR, and bowling. It would be a common occurrence to read his name in the newspaper. Ron also loved the simple things like working on his yard and snow blowing. One of Ron’s most prized possessions was his 1974 El Camino 454 SS, one of only ten.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Glen Little, a daughter, Adrianne Yentzer, a sister, Shirley Gibson, and step-sisters; Peggy and Glenda.

Funeral services for Ron will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
