Roy Douglas Harper, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Roy was born December 3, 1958, in Tiffin, to the late George and Mallie (Cook) Harper.
Survivors include his sisters, Anne Harper of Tiffin, Leatra Harper of Bowling Green, and a brother, Walter Harper of Illinois.
Roy was 1977 Mohawk High School graduate and worked at the Machine Shop in Fremont. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sycamore and loved to have a good laugh. Roy would often burst out into laughter before finishing his jokes. He was also interested in UFOs, reading his Bible, and riding his motorcycle. One of his fondest memories was chasing his brother Walter around Sycamore and jumping the railroad tracks.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Martha “Janie” Cook.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Rev. Clifford Tyree officiating. Graveside services will take place at Pleasant Ridge cemetery in Sycamore at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
