Sheldon T. Lyon

Sheldon T. Lyon, 69, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo.

Sheldon was born on May 17, 1955 in Lemoyne, OH, to the late Lloyd and Faye (Rodgers) Lyon. He married Melissa (Fleming) in Tiffin on November 16, 1985.

Survivors include his Wife, Melissa Lyon of Tiffin, four children, Danielle Parsons of Port Charlotte, FL, Debbie (Jason) Ward of Wayne, Ryan (Courtney) Lyon of Tiffin, and Logan Lyon of Bettsville, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a brother Lloyd “Skip” (Pattie) Lyon.

Sheldon worked as an Electrical Engineer and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tiffin. He was a 1973 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and also the Fostoria Lake Plains Barbershop Chorus and the Heidelberg Community Chorus. Sheldon was a United States Navy Veteran serving during Desert Storm.

Sheldon was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Paula Parsons.

There will be a Celebration of Sheldon’s Life at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church in Tiffin. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements. There will not be a burial held at this time.
