Sonny Hatton, 83, of Tiffin, passed away at 3:43 a.m., Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
Sonny was born February 10, 1938, in Whitesburg, KY, to the late Ivan Hatton and Sillar (Hall) Montgomery. He married Mary (Wilson) in Tiffin, on May 16, 1970 and she survives in Tiffin.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina (Scott) Frederick of Findlay, three grandchildren, Noah Frederick of Ashville, NC, Jonah Frederick and Jordan Frederick both of Findlay and a sister, Billie (Duncan) Rowe of Lima.
Sonny retired from Whirlpool of Clyde in 1998. He was a former Tiffin Eagles and Moose member who enjoyed golfing, fishing and line dancing. Sonny also taught line dancing at Allen Eiry in Tiffin. Sonny was a United States Army Veteran serving during Vietnam as a Medic.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Hatton and a sister, Ann Tackett.
Funeral services for Sonny will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with the Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family recommends that everyone attending the services wear a facial covering. Burial will follow the services on Thursday at Fairmont cemetery with military rites being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
