Stephen A. Hoepf, 70, of Republic, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.
Stephen was born in Tiffin, on November 29, 1954 to Walter and Mary (Gase) Hoepf. He married Darlene (Carry) Hoepf at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Attica on January 14, 1977.
Survivors include his father, Walter Hoepf of Republic, three children, Jason (Michelle) Hoepf of Republic, Stephanie (Samuel) Bour of Republic, Daniel (Natalie) Hoepf of Michigan City, IN, four grandchildren, Kyle Hoepf, Sienna and Henry Bour and Bella Hoepf, four brothers, Mark (Laura) Hoepf of Sycamore, Bryan (Valerie) Hoepf of Republic, Gary (Dawn) Hoepf of Republic, nine sisters, Shirley (Jerry) Bumb of Sycamore, Linda (Dale) Schroeder of Shelby, Sandy Benner of Republic, Connie (John) Powell of Republic, Theresa (Michael) Hoerig of Tiffin, Diane (Michael) Watson of Marion, Miriam (Lazaro Jr.) Garcia of Green Springs, Tracy (Brent) Hogue of Bellevue, Michell (Kevin) Nedolast of Shelby and a brother-in-law, Gary Michalkiewicz of Swanton, OH.
Stephen worked as a steel fabricator and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sprint car racing, the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeye’s.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Dennis Hoepf, a sister, Tammy Michalkiewicz and a nephew, Derrik Hoepf.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2024 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Farewell Retreat cemetery in Republic.
