Susan A. Alt

Susan A. Alt, 71, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

Susan was born on December 20, 1954 in Tiffin, to the late Cecil and Ruth Anne (Campbell) Swecker. She married Stephen Mark Alt at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin, on April 8, 1972 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2024.

Survivors include her children, Jean (B. Eric) Price of Xenia, Stephen C. Alt of Tiffin, Melissa (Duane) Sherman of Tiffin, and Ashley Alt of Clyde, four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and a sister, Mary Anne Swecker of Sarasota, FL.

Susan retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. When her children were younger, she enjoyed being a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader for them. She was a 1973 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School who enjoyed camping, baking and cooking.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Mikayla Price, and a brother, Gerald Swecker.

Funeral services for Susan will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday, at Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
