Telka M. Carroll

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Telka Matilda Carroll, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who left us on February 5, 2024, at the age of 82.

Born in Norfolk, VA, Telka was a pillar of strength and love to her family and all who knew her.

Telka is survived by her children, Tammy Fries, Christina Carroll, Elwin (Boopie) Carroll and John Carroll, her grandchildren, Melissa, Jackie, Steven, Jami, Joey, Brittany, Jake, Rhiannon, Cecil and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Telka was a deeply religious and a devout Christian woman who lived her faith through acts of kindness and service to others. Her warm greeting, "Whatch y'all doin'?" will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Telka was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elwin C. Carroll, a daughter, Teri Carroll and a granddaughter, Cassidy.
