Thomas Lee Gabel, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.
Thomas was born May 30, 1944, in Fremont, to the late Melvin and Grace (Willey) Gabel. He married Sally J. (McCoy) in Tiffin on June 4, 2005 and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include his daughter, Barbara Gabel of Findlay, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, a daughter-in-law, Lynn Gabel of Tiffin, and a sister, Karen Smith of Republic.
Thomas worked at Ameriwood Industries and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed going on bus trips and was also a Farm Bureau member. Thomas was a 1962 graduate of Old Fort High School.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Becky Perna, a son, David Gabel, a grandson, Seth Wilcox, three brothers, Richard, James and Michael Gabel, and a sister, Janet Crosby.
Funeral services for Thomas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Seneca Memory Gardens.
