Thomas J. Holmer, 84, of Attica, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Tom was born in Republic, on September 1, 1941 to the late Lawrence and Marcella (Schreiner) Holmer. He married Sharon K. (Norman) at Reed Assumption Catholic Church on May 12, 1962.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Sharon Holmer of Attica, children, Mark (Karen Evans) Holmer of West Chester, Roger (Tammy) Holmer of Willard, Jill (Kevin) Reiter of Forest, Brian (Theresa) Holmer of Mansfield, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two brothers, David and Herman Holmer both Republic.
Tom worked at R.R. Donnelly’s in Willard for forty-four years, and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica. Tom enjoyed golfing and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and was a 1959 graduate of Attica High School.
Private family funeral services will be held at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will take place at St. Peter & Paul Catholic cemetery in Attica.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s or Shriner’s Children Hospital.
