Tom R. “Tice” Hartsel, 84, of Bettsville, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at his residence.
Tice was born March 9, 1940, in Fremont, to the late Frank and Hazel (Semer) Hartsel.
Survivors include his two sons, Chris (Heather Eidenour) Hartsel of Bettsville, Daniel “Sid” (Kellie) Hartsel of Fostoria, four grandchildren, Madisson Hartsel, Logan Hartsel, Shea Hartsel, Lucas Ganey, two sisters, Janice (Paul) Snell of Bettsville and Shirley (John) Kosta of Burgoon.
Tice retired from Autolite in Fostoria. Tice was a member of Bettsville American Legion and a 1958 graduate of Bettsville High School. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during Korea.
There will be a graveside service held for Tice at a later date at Pleasant Union cemetery in Old Fort. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bettsville American Legion or Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame.
