Vera Jo DuMond

Vera Jo DuMond, 73, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at her residence in Tiffin.

Vera was born November 5, 1948, in Tiffin, to the late Kenneth and Julia (Scouton) Gibson. She married Dale "Buzz" DuMond in Tiffin on December 19, 1969.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-two years, Buzz, a son, Eli Van Doren DuMond of Seattle, WA, daughter, Katherine Amanda DuMond of Columbus, a good friend, Matt Terry of Tiffin and her trusted K-9 companion, Ziva.

Vera retired from Tiffin Scenic Studios in Tiffin. She was a 1967 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and she also attended Bowling Green State University. During retirement Vera enjoyed, genealogy, traveling and fine arts.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-3 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be a celebration of Vera's life held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tiffin Seneca Public Library, Seneca County Humane Society or to the Fremont YMCA.
