Verlin Thacker

Verlin Thacker, 84, of Tiffin, passed away at 2:22 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2022 in the emergency room at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Verlin was born March 7, 1938, in Huddy, KY, to the late Orville and Opal (Hensley) Thacker. He married Shirley (Turner) Thacker in Tiffin on August 6, 1960 and she preceded him in death on September 17, 2021.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Thacker, Sheri Myers, Verlin (Victoria) Thacker, Chad Thacker, Amy (Ronald) Banks and Josh (Amy) Thacker all of Tiffin, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Verlin worked for Inks Construction for 31years. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, listening to music and being the family jokester.

Verlin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services for Verlin will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday at Fairmont cemetery.
