Viola L. Snook, 94, of Willard passed away at 11:25 a.m., on Monday, August 16, 2021 at her residence.
Viola was born in Richmond Township, on February 16, 1927 to the late Earl C. and Anna (Ebinger) Shade. She married Richard A. Snook at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica on June 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2008.
Survivors include her two sons, Randy Snook and John (Alice) Snook, three grandchildren, Winifred, Patrick and Raymond Snook, a brother, Robert (Carol) Shade all of Willard and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Shade of Republic.
Viola worked at Pioneer Rubber and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica where she was involved in the sewing group and the women’s circle. She was the Valedictorian of the 1945 graduating class at Willard High School.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Charles, Ernest, Willard, Dalton and Herbert Shade, two sisters, Mildred Sweet and Evelyn Baxter.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and to Viola’s own special team of care givers for their countless hours and outstanding care given to her.
Funeral services for Viola will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica with the Rev. Ed Hunker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service at the church. A private family burial will be held at Maple Grove cemetery in New Haven. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to Heartland Hospice.
