Virginia L. Maxwell, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
Virginia was born on May 13, 1930 in Melmore to the late John and Deatta (Gulick) Kish. She married Joe Maxwell in Melmore in 1952, they later divorced and he preceded her in death in 1997.
Virginia is survived by her two sons, James (Kimberley) Maxwell of Tiffin, Brooks (Jeanne) Maxwell of Arlington, TX, four grandchildren, Jodi Zirger of Tiffin, James (Kierstyn) Maxwell, Jr., Kent, Michelle (Steven) Lee of Whitehouse, Blake Maxwell of Arlington, TX, seven-great-grandchildren, Kamren, Alaina and Erica Zirger, Dylan and Lola Maxwell, Max and Carter Lee.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ward Kish.
Virginia retired from Seneca County Commission on Aging after thirteen years. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, loved to read, going to the casinos, and spending time with her family and friends. Virginia loved to follow Cleveland Indians baseball, especially her favorite player, Jim Thome!
There will be celebration of Virginia's life held at a later date. Burial will be held at Pleasant View cemetery in Bloomville. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
