William F. Carter

William “Bill” Fredrick Carter, 76, of Tiffin, Ohio, passed away at 5:25 P.M. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Bill was born November 30, 1946, in Toledo, to the late Fredrick and Martha (Rouch) Carter. He married Pamela (Woessner) in Tiffin on December 15, 1980 and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2009.

Survivors include his children, Todd (Marie) Carter of Tiffin, Tony (Teresa) Carter of Tiffin, Jill (Phil) Reuter of Tiffin, Fred Carter of Tiffin, Jodi Swanigan of Tiffin, Shawn (Selena) Stagnolia of Toledo, DeEnda (Shane) Botton of Tiffin, 27 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Ed (Becky) Carter of Tiffin and James (Diana) Carter of Republic.

Bill was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed his time spent hunting, fishing, camping, and the time spent with his family. He was an active member of the of the Avenger’s Motorcycle Club- “AFFA, LADA”.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his daughter Melissa Warwick, his sister and brother in law Nina (Beagle) Johnson, grandson Scooter Neff, granddaughters Tessa Lundy, Carissa Carter, and Shae Carter, and mother-in-law Carolyn Woessner.

There will be no services held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the cancer society of the donor’s choice or to the Lou Gehrig’s Foundation.
