Eric E. Shook, C.F.S.P.

Owner/Licensed Funeral Director , Embalmer, and Crematory Operator

Eric E. Shook C.F.S.P., is a lifelong resident of the Tiffin and a graduate of Calvert High School. Eric is the son of Jeff and Darlene Shook of Tiffin. He has a daughter, Camryn and a son, Troy. He is a lifelong member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin. After high school Eric later graduated from Terra State with an Associates Degree in Business Management and then he enrolled at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science which enabled him to obtain his Funeral Director's and Embalmer's License's.

Eric also has obtained the highest certification in the funeral field with his C.F.S.P. (Certified Funeral Service Practitioner). Eric is one of a very few in Ohio who has obtained this elite classification.

Eric maintains a very active role in the community and his memberships with the Ohio Funeral Director's Assoc., the Tiffin Rotary Club and also serves on the Tiffin Calvert Foundation Board.

Jennifer Shook

Jennifer Shook

Owner / Office Manager

Jennifer Shook, Eric's wife, has been a lifelong resident of Tiffin. Daughter of Ken and Patsy Crabill of Tiffin. Jennifer is a graduate of Columbian High School. She then went on to graduate with an Associates Degree from the University of Cincinnati in Early Child Care Education and then later received her Bachelor's Degree from Bowling Green State University in Child and Family Community Services.

Once Eric and Jennifer purchased the funeral home she decided to take on the career path of working in the funeral field. The opportunity of being able to help families through a difficult time really appealed to her.

Jennifer is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, daughter, Camryn and son, Troy. She also enjoys spending time at her parents farm and taking walks.


Mark S. Lindsey

Mark is a fourth generation funeral director, and a native of Willard. He is married to the former Karen Showman of Bloomville. Mark has two sons, Ben and Aaron Lindsey and four grandchildren. Mark is a member of the Bloomville United Church of Christ, Seneca Lodge #790 F & AM in Republic, Zenobia Shrine, Tiffin Shrine Club and a member of several funeral professional organizations.

Mark is a 1972 graduate of Northeastern Oklahoma A & M and a 1973 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He and his wife were the former owners of the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home.

In his spare time Mark enjoys going up to Lake Erie and being with his family and friends.


Karen A. Lindsey

Licensed Funeral Director

Karen A. Lindsey, a native of Bloomville and the mother of two sons, Ben and Aaron Lindsey and four grandchildren. She is a 1977 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She later attended Tiffin University and then on May 18, 1994 she received her Ohio Funeral Directors License.

Karen is a member of the Bloomville Untied Church of Christ and also serves as the church's treasurer. She is also employed at the Sutton Bank in Attica in the operations department.

In her free time Karen enjoys being with her children and grandchildren, also traveling and going to Lake Erie.

Jeff is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer who is a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He specializes in pre-arrangements for the funeral home. Jeff and his wife Wendy, have four children Shelby, Sydney, Hally, and Ayden.


Megan Johansen

Megan Johansen

Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Crematory Operator

Megan R. Johansen was born in Texas and raised in Fremont, Ohio. She graduated from Fremont Ross Highschool and Vanguard Sentinel Career & Technology Center where she studied Criminal Justice, in 2011. Megan found her passion in the mortuary field and earned her Associates Degree from Terra State Community College in individualized studies with a major in Pre-Mortuary Science. From there, she went on to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, earning her Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2020. Megan is now a Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, Crematory Operator, and Certified Celebrant; and values these titles because they allow her to provide the best care for the families she serves and the loved ones in her care. Megan is married to her best friend, Ben Johansen and they have two dogs and a cat together. Megan enjoys spending her free time reading and taking walks along her property in rural Tiffin with her husband and dogs.


Vanessa Ardner

Vanessa is a Calvert and Tiffin University Alumni, graduating with a Bachelor's in Accounting. She resides in Tiffin with her husband Buster and four children Xavier, Victoria, Lydia, and Kevin.

Karen was born and raised in Seneca County. She lives in rural Tiffin with her husband, Robert. Karen and Robert have two adult children, Robert who resides in Florida and Debra of Tiffin.

In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren, traveling and baking.


Donald Stover

Donald Stover

Funeral Assistant

Don has worked for the funeral home since 1995. He and his wife Christine, have lived near Old Fort for most of their lives.

Don is retired as a loan officer with the Farm Credit System and enjoys his new career serving as needed. Christine is retired as a registered nurse at the Old Fort Medical Family Practice. Don also enjoys working outside on the farm in his spare time.

Don has three grown children, Diane (Dave) Stallings of rural Attica, Beth (Jason) Garcia of Naples, Fl and David (Amber) Stover of rural Tiffin. They have six grandchildren.

Don and Christine are active church members at the Old Fort United Methodist Church where they have been involved in the music program for many years. Don is a member of the Tiffin Masonic Lodge #77. He is also a member of the Old Fort Lions Club where his is a past president, past treasurer, and has nearly thirty years of perfect attendance. Don is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and is a veteran of the United States Army.


Ted Rombach

Ted attended St. Joseph Elementary School, Calvert High School, Xavier University in Cincinnati, and graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin. He married his wife Rita and they have four children, Lisa, Brian, Brenda and David, six grandchildren, Andrew, Marissa, Aaron, Kate, Jacob and Megan. Ted enjoys fishing, bowling, golf and attending various activities of his grandchildren.

Ted taught Junior High Social Studies at St. Mary's along with other subjects for 22 years, was the Principal for 17 years and was Superintendent of Calvert Catholic Schools for 3 years. Ted also coached Junior High Football, Junior High Boys Basketball, men's High School JV Basketball, was the Head Coach of women's Volleyball, women's Basketball and women's Softball.

Ted is a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a former member of the St. Mary's Catholic Pastoral Council and received the "Centenary Award for Outstanding Service" to the Diocese of Toledo in 2011. He also received the "Monsignor Dunn Service to Others Award" and is a member of the Calvert Hall of Fame.

Ryan was born and raised in Tiffin and is a 2022 graduate of Calvert High School. He is an honor roll student and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society in college academics. He will be attending the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree. Ryan takes pride in a strong work ethic and has aspirations to return to Tiffin and the funeral home following graduation. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and golfing with his friends.
